From The Whitehouse - Facts Are Stubborn Things

I don't have any problem with President Obama stating his case and his interpretation of the facts. I take great exception to the encouragement to inform on fellow citizens.

"...There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov..."

Maybe sounds a little extreme but it reminded me of the Nazi's and the SS Troops. What is the Whitehouse going to do with this information. Sic the Secret Service, CIA, FBI, IRS, Homeland Security on the reported offenders, or just send them a politely written note informing them of the Administration's spin of the facts? Will they then continue to monitor the offenders email or casual conversations?

If this doesn't give you the creeps and concern you to your deepest parts nothing will. - MBC

  2. Basically it's a threat to your 1st Amendment Right to freedom of speech. Are we so immune to this stuff no one cares?
